Blogger Sessions

These are of course the focal point of the event, the blogger sessions. These will be taking place in a range of venues, including tepees, marquee tents, stages and, weather permitting, outdoor sessions. The format of these sessions will vary massively, some will be workshops, talks, demonstrations etc. We will be constantly updating the website with these sessions and speakers as we move on.

Other Sessions

The Other Sessions will be those that run alongside the blogger sessions, from Friday afternoon to Sunday Morning, but are not specifically based on blogging skills. We have many of these to confirm but expect there to be yoga, cooking, cocktail making and crafts on the agenda, to name a few.

Food and Drink

There will be plenty of options for food and drink at BlogStock. There will be several food options open for the whole weekend, as well as some sessions and classes that will include food in them. Drinks wise, we’ll have a number of options here including some lovely bars set up.

BlogStock is not just about blogging! We anticipate running the sessions up until around 5:30 pm on Friday and Saturday, after this there will be a huge range of entertainment for the evenings. We’re planning to have a cinema tent showing a kids movie each night, DJs in the main tents and more ensuring that BlogStock will keep you busy and entertained from when you get up, to when you go to bed.

What are the accommodation options?

There are many options for accommodation. The cheapest (and most fun) is camping on site at Blogstock. There are also several hotels within a walk or short drive of Aldenham Country park, more on all of this below. The site is also just north of London and so there are all of London’s accommodation options.

Can we bring camper vans as well as tents?

Absolutely, if you can camp in it, you can bring it. There is ample room and no extra charge for these things. However, please do note that there are no electrical hook ups for camper vans.

What are the hotel options?

There are a range of hotels nearby, including budget options such as Travelodge, Premier Inn and Ibis. There is also a Holiday Inn and fantastic Village Urban Resort within walking distance.

Will I need to bring my own food and drink?

No, you will not, there will be plenty of food and drinks options in the form of bars and food stalls/stands. However, you are welcome to bring in your own food as well, as many people do prefer for late snacks around their tents.

You are not permitted to bring alcohol onto the festival site, we will be serving alcohol at the event.  All vehicles and bags will be searched on entry to the event. Food is permitted, as are soft drinks, please bring what you would like for these.

When does the festival run?

We will be opening the gates at 12pm on Friday, with the first sessions due to start early afternoon on that day (3pm). We will be starting around 9am again on Saturday and running for the full day.

What entertainment will be provided?

We plan to have live music at Blogstock, for both Friday and Saturday evenings. While we don’t have all the details, there are likely to be the blogging sessions until around 5 or 6pm, and then live music for the evening. Following this there will be further entertainment, in the way of DJs and possibly film, in the main marquees.
